Sericulture and silk technology originatedin China, and has since served as a cultural symbol of the Chinesenation. “Sericulture and Silk Craftsmanship in China” was awarded a place on the "Representative Listof the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO on September28, 2009. This gallery displays every aspect of sericulture and silkcraftsmanship, including mulberry cultivation, silkworm breeding and silk reeling, dyeing, weaving and the relevant customs.
