1930s
H59cm: W170cm
This riding-jacket has a stand collar, symmetrical front opening panels and linear buttons. The fabric is black satin damask with floral roundels. Black has been the dominant color for riding-jackets since the 1920s. Curved and overlapping front panels gradually gave way to straight and symmetrical front opening panels, usually with five buttons. Riding-jackets usually have side slits and fitting sleeves and are worn on top of long-gowns. (XY)
