    With sprayed leaf patterns on a dark green ground of georgette velvet, this dramatic qijoao has half sleeves and aside-opening front panel. As a good example of the type of high collar qi-pao dresses in vogue during the 1920s and 1930s, this one has three frogs right on the collar up to the chin. A matching green to that in the velvet ground and acorresponding yellow as found in the flowers are used for the frog buttons,creating a superior color harmony. The hems are rolled in green satin, up to 1cm on the outer edge and reduced to 0.3 cm on the inside. (XY)
