In order to improve management and volunteer services, the education department of CNSM has organized a visit to Ningbo of about 100 volunteersfrom Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Zhejiang Gongshang University, China Institute of Metrology, and Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology.

Ningbo Museum is a comprehensive museum that mainly displays history and traditional custom in Ningbo area. More importantly, it is where the special committee secretariat of the Chinese Association of Museums is located.

Lin, director of Exhibition and Education Center of Ningbo Museum, warmly welcomed the students and facilitated deep discussion about the items and customs specific to the Ningbo Museum.

Director Lin introduced the volunteer work at the Ningbo Museum by explaining volunteer recruitment processes, trainingmethods, operation mechanism, incentive mechanism, management practices, etc., and emphasized special attention to the volunteers’ specialties and interests.

At the end of thisvisit, volunteers proceededto visit the Tianyi Pavilion,China's first private library.
