F rom November 4th to 5th, 2020, the second “Museum Craftsmanship” Seminar was held at the Guangdong Folk Craft Museum. Nearly a hundred cultural an d museum experts, craft inheritors, a nd educators f rom all over the country participated in the meeting. Participants centered on the theme of “spreading culture an d han dicrafts”, through keynote speeches, discussion an d exchanges, visits, activities an d experiences, an d other forms to show the museum’s research an d practical results in han dicraft transfer, an d promote everyone to exchange an d share in the field of museum craftsmanship.
As the initiator of the first “Museum Craftsmanship” Seminar, China National Silk Museum actively participated in this seminar. Curator ZHAO Feng delivered a keynote speech at the meeting entitled
“Ikat an d Adras: The Dyeing of Sutras fr om a Global Perspective”. CHEN Luwen of the Department of Social Education took the World Natural Dyeing Workshop of the China National Silk Museum as an example, a nd put forward a new idea for craftsmen to be included in the museum’s heritage education.
