On the evening of June 5th, “Reconstitution: Art and Conception of Chinese Silks”exhibition which was hosted by the Cultural Center of China in Paris (hereinafter referred to as the “center”) and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, and also was organized by China National Silk Museum, opened at the Cultural Center of China in Paris. The directer of center, Yan Zhenquan and more than 100 guests from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony.

“Reconstitution: Art and Conception of Chinese Silks”exhibition used silk as the carrier to exhibit more than 50 pieces or set of clothing, home textiles, embroideries and other silk products.The techniques and the charm of the silk were reappeared by “embroidery, printing, weaving, dyeing” these four themes. At the same time, new design ideas were used to innovate the form and content of silk art on the the basis of traditional craft. It reflected the rich artistic connotation of silk culture from traditional techniques and culture innovation, handed down the essence of ancient traditional techniques, and also reinterpret the inexhaustible vitality of Chinese silk from the modern aesthetic perspective.

At the opening ceremony, a grant “Invisible Craftsman” Jingluntang brand press conference was held at first. After the conference, audiences visited the exhibition. This exhibition set up an embroidery performance stage. The embroidery master, Liao Chunmei, dynamically showed the Chinese embroidery process and techniques. In conjunction with the “New Knowledge on Ancient Road: Silk Road Cultural Heritage Sci-tech Achievements” photo exhibition, which was displayed from June 6th to June 15th, focused on the fruitful achievements of China in the field of silk road cultural heritage protection and cultural creative derivatives in recent years.

In addition, the assistant curator of China National Silk Museum, Zhou yang, also as the event curator, gave a “Reconstitution of Chinese Silk Design Materials” theme public lecture at center on the evening of June 4th. It introduced Chinese silk relics in past dynasties and the collection of the related design materials, analyzed the current situation of silk culture industry, and showed the aesthetic of ancient Chinese silk pattern and innovative applications.

On the afternoon of June 5th, “Reconstitution: Art and Conception of Chinese Silks” industrial exchange conference was hosted successfully at the meeting room in center. The embroidery master, Liao Chunmei who came from the Taizhou Fucheng Embroidery Museum, Wang Pengcheng, the manager of Jingluntang, Alexandra de Gastines who was the former brand design director of Dior and Celine, Marie Berthouloux, the embroidery master and the founder of Maison Ekceli embroidery workshop, Liu Chao the senior customization designer and other Chinese and Franch representatives were invited to gave related speeches and share their experiences.
