On September 12th, a group of special guests comes to CNSM. They are patchwork artists from different regions of the United States. Come with their elaborate patchworks, they enjoy several pieces of silk relics with great interest and have a discussion with CNSM members about patterns, designs, meanings and implications, and cultural and historical stories as well.
Patch-working is an important tradition in the United States, which also reflects the diversity of the USA. Patchworks can be good story-tellers.
Textile art has a long and glorious history in China, silk is one of China's traditional treasures, CNSM, along with those artists, is extremely willing to make efforts with the whole society to protect it and develop it.
