In the afternoon of November 4th, Bryant University in the United States and CNSM sign a cooperative agreement on scientific research and exhibition at CNSM. The signing ceremony is attended by Ronald K. Machtley, chancellor of Bryant University, Yang Hong, vice chancellor, Chen Guanzhong, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Heritage Bureau, Zhao Feng, curator of CNSM, etc.
There are two main aims in the cooperation project. One is to develop the multidisciplinary research and the hydrogen isotope techniques on the textiles unearthed across the Silk Road. The other is to spread Chinese culture overseas, and hold an exhibition at Bryant University, Rhode Island, United States in October 2013.
Culture plays a very important role in the future of world peace, and through cultural exchanges, it is a good way for people between the USA and China to be mutual understanding, mutual supporting and mutual developing.
