Lecture “Chinese Painting and Calligraphy vs. Silk” in CNSM (2013-05-10)

On the afternoon of May 10, Zhou Ren,researcher of Zhejiang Province Cultural Relics Identification Center, made a speech on “Chinese Painting and Calligraphy vs. Silk”, which introduced all forms of Chinese painting and calligraphy, and displayed the differences between silk and paper as two kinds of materials for painting and calligraphy. He then talked about the relationship between the identification of calligraphic and painting works on silk. At the end of the speech, referring to the limitations of traditional techniques to identify calligraphic and paintingworks, Zhou Ren proposed CNSM to study materials in order to explore new identification ways.
